MOROCCO
10 - 21 October, 2011

Our first Moroccan tour last October was spectacular: The High Atlas, the immense dunes of the Sahara, the ancient coastal forts, and then the magic of Fes and Marrakech. And I came home with only four rugs!

SOUTH AFRICA and SWAZILAND
30 October - 19 November, 2011

COST: $6,990.00 per person, twin share
Walking in the spectacular Drakensberg Mountains, looking for Bushmen rock art, finding the endemic plants among the flowering fynbos, visiting historic sites from gold-rushes and the Boer War, Kruger National Park, game drives and walks with rangers, Cape Town and the Winelands. HADRIAN'S WALL WALK
26 May - 5 June, 2011

COST: $2,445.00 per person, twin share
Follow the Roman legions along this ancient border, staying in country inns and B&Bs. Visit the excavated forts and explore the Northumberland National Park.

These are really like final dress rehearsals. Everything has been organized but we now need some 'tour testers'. Like all dress rehearsals, these trips are a real bargain! They are 20-25% cheaper than the 2012 prices!



Burgundy: culture, walking and wine
3 - 12 September, 2011

Justly famous for its wines, Burgundy is also a treasure trove of beautiful villages and architecture. Romanesque churches, chateaux surrounded by famous wine estates, abbeys and cathedrals. We visit Auxerre, Vezelay, Fontenay, Beaune and Cluny, A week is not long enough so we go for 10 days!

Provence: Hill towns of the Luberon
14 - 21 September, 2011

COST: $2,240.00 per person, twin share.
Walking through the famous 'perched' villages. Four of them, (Gordes, Lourmarin, Menerbes and Roussillon) are listed among 'The Most Beautiful Villages in France' and there are other beauties such as Lacoste, Bonnieux, and Saignon. Visit Fontaines de Vaucluse and get tempted by the huge antique market at L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. Easy walking focusing on the rich cultural traditions, colours, tastes and aromas of Provence.

The Camino:
September 15 - 21, 2011

COST: $2,265.00 per person, twin share.
The Camino is the Spanish name for the historic Pilgrims' Way terminating in Santiago de Compostela. This is the final stage and those who walk this section are entitled to the Pilgrim's Certificate. In this final stage it passes through the lush green farmlands, forests and vineyards of Galicia, a region of Spain with strong cultural traditions and cuisine. This trip will be led by Ria Erasmus, a veteran pilgrimage walker. She has walked the whole of the Spanish Camino, most of the French Chemin from Le Puy, and a long section through Tuscany.
