Kangaroo Island is the third largest island off the Australian coast. It is 155km long and up to 55km wide, and, is an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The island's population is quite small, with most people involved in the fishing, farming and tourism industries.

Over 30% of the island's area is protected by 21 National and Conversation Parks, which contain over 850 plant species and shelter the island's prolific wildlife.

On our tours we regularly encounter kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, sand monitors (goannas), koalas, possums, penguins, seals, sea lions, colourful parrots and large wading birds. Kangaroo Island is the perfect place to observe native Australian wildlife in its natural habitat. The terrain is gently undulating.

Surrounding the island is dramatic coastline; sheer sea-cliffs, unique rock formations, secluded coves, lonely lighthouses, and white sandy beaches. There are also a number of limestone caves with splendid formations.
